Natalie & James – Married! (The Barn Brasserie Wedding)

This past Saturday we were all crossing our fingers for a dry day after a full day of rain and thunderstorms had been predicted. But bizarrely on the day itself the forecast completely changed and I woke up to a dry warm day.

Arriving at Natalie’s family’s home, the mystery was solved! James’ mum had planted a raw sausage in the garden the night before – an old wives tale that is said to stop rain on a wedding day, and lo and behold it only went and worked!!

Once ready the girls (and Dad!) made their way to church in Coggeshall, driving through a downpour only to arrive to bright sunshine. James and the boys had met earlier at the pub, before heading into the church to await the arrival of the bride.

Later guests headed to The Barn Brasserie for a laid back wedding reception. Natalie threw her bouquet – caught by the best man’s girlfriend! And Garry the best man told everyone some tales about James’ past in the speeches!

These two head off on their honeymoon tomorrow, so to tide them over here’s some highlights from their big day…
