Birthday Babies
How fast has that first year gone?! If you're already planning your baby's first birthday party don't forget to mark it with a first birthday photo shoot.
Not only do I offer cake smash photography sessions in my Colchester based studio but I also offer birthday sessions without the mess too!
Bring your baby along for a photoshoot where they can play with the studio toys, wear a special outfit and have lots of photos with parents too. After that we'll bring out the cake (real or wooden!) to commemorate their first big life milestone.
I keep my birthday sessions simplistic in my bright white studio with minimal props. I do have lots of tactile wooden toys, birthday crowns, flags and clothing you can use that suit my studio's styling perfectly.
As a cake smash photographer I wouldn't let you leave without cleaning up baby first! All cake smashes now include a bathtub splash session if for no other reason than to avoid baby travelling home very sticky!

Fill out the form to check availability around your baby’s birthday and I’ll get back to you with all the details.
A swift response to your enquiry to get your date booked in. You'll also receive a 'style guide' so you can be super prepared ahead of your photo shoot.
A welcoming studio space, kept warm and cosy for baby. Refreshments, space to feed and change baby. You can relax while I snap away.
Photos viewable within 7-10 days, and a few sneak peeks on instagram (if you're happy to) 3 days after your shoot.
Choose your images to download right away and decide whether you'd like any prints, frames or albums too.

Nope! Whilst fun they are messy! I have a lovely wooden cake we can use instead if you'd like to avoid any mess.
Cakes must be provided by parents/carers to ensure all allergies are catered to.
Absolutely! I encourage parents to have photos with their babies at all my sessions. Ensure you also dress in neutrals so you all coordinate and I can capture some lovely memories for you all.
For cake smashes a simple white vest is great. You can bring other outfits or use my studio wardrobe for photos before the mess. I always advise sticking to neutrals to match my studio style.
