YEARS AS A PHOTOGRApHER
I've been a photographer for over 15 years now starting out on cruise ships, onto school portraits and weddings and now focussing on newborns, babies and product imagery for small businesses.
Capturing the milestones of your little ones has become such a passion and I love when clients return and I get to see just how much they've grown in such a short space of time.
I'm Kerrie, a Colchester Photographer. I turned my office space into a natural light newborn and baby photography studio during the 2020 lockdown. My son was just 5 months old at the time and I was very aware of how quickly he was growing up before my eyes!
Fast-forward a few years I now photograph babies from newborn to age 2 in the studio and my little boy now has a little sister and another sibling on the way in 2024!

Based on the Essex/Suffolk border
My garden studio is in Lawford, a stones throw from Mistley and Manningtree.
If you are travelling to the studio I've got plenty of food and family day out recommendations locally.
A garden for playtime.
Siblings are always welcome but often get bored! If its warm they are welcome to play in garden - we have a mud kitchen, trampoline, playhouse, sandpit and plenty of grass for burning off energy!
Studio Wardrobe
I have a selection of neutral outfits available for use during your session so just ask if you don't think you have anything suitable yourself.
There is space for feeding and changing baby and refreshments are always provided.
Outside, children are welcome to play in the garden between shots. My children are (mostly!) happy to share their trampoline, sandpit and mud kitchen.
The studio is a purpose built garden room. Its insulated so toasty in the winter and painted bright white to achieve that timeless white photography style you're drawn to.
Inside I set up a variety of areas for your little ones to enjoy dependant on their age and there is a plethora of tactile wooden toys for them to enjoy playing with.
I use this space for newborn and baby photography, maternity photo shoots, family photography and 1st birthday cake smashes!
