Rather stay close to home? In-home family sessions have a beautiful documentary quality to them. Less posed, more real. Kids playing in their own space, the dog getting involved, everyone relaxed on familiar ground. I'll follow your family's lead and capture the quiet, everyday moments that are so easy to forget. No need to tidy, honestly. A lived-in home always makes for the most beautiful, real images.

My garden studio in Manningtree is warm, minimal and full of natural light. It's a calm, unhurried space, ideal if you have younger children or simply want to keep things simple without worrying about the weather. I'll guide you through everything.
The studio is perfect for families of up to 5 (although, if you have more then 3 children let me know!).

Woods, fields, beaches, there are some genuinely beautiful spots across Essex and Suffolk, and I know most of them. Whether you want golden hour in Dedham Vale, a windswept beach at West Mersea or somewhere closer to home that means something to you, I'll work with the light and the landscape to get the best from it. Kids can run, explore and just be themselves. Those are always the best shots! And the dog is always welcome too.

If you've booked an outdoor shoot I'll always reschedule if rain stops play!
Yes! I can always help with this. I have favourite spots across Essex and Suffolk including beaches, woodlands and open fields. Just ask and I'll suggest a few based on the time of year.
Co-ordinate without matching exactly. Neutrals, denim and soft tones work beautifully outdoors and in studio. Avoid black or very dark navy as it can look heavy in photos.
Family sessions are for immediate families up to 5 people. (Although if you have more than 3 children I'll bend the rules for you!) For extended family sessions anything goes, but these will always be outdoors on location as my studio is quite small!
Dogs are always welcome to join us for on location family sessions!
