Louise and John’s Coach House at Marks Hall Wedding

 

It’s crazy to think we’re already at the end of August 2020 and this is the first and last wedding I’ll photograph this year. The coronavirus pandemic has really hit the industry and engaged couples hard, but being back at a wedding last Thursday was incredible. Just like riding a bike!

Louise and John have held their nerves ever since the first announcement about cancelling weddings altogether came in March. We kept in touch in the lead up and plans were changing almost on a weekly basis at one point. John’s optimism that they would get married this year – even with restrictions really paid off and meant these two got to tie the knot in the gardens of the coach house at Marks Hall as planned, just with a reduced guest list.

Typically, after an incredible spring and summer of weather this week was looking a little dodgy! But although it was cloudy we got everything we needed to do outdoors done by the time the rain set in for the evening. After which guests were seated indoors at socially distant tables to watch the speeches, cake cut and first dance.
