Madeleine and Darryl love a trip to the capital (mainly for amazing burgers I later learned!) and so when it came to deciding where to go for their engagement shoot it really was the only option for them. The day we met was a wet, cold and drizzly one in January but we made the most of the dreery day by heading down to the Southbank for some photos.
We met late in the afternoon for a few photographs in the daylight, and then headed to the pub for a drink and to defrost whilst we waited for darkness to set in for some more pictures with the nightscape of the city. The results were amazing, far removed from my usual bright and breezy style, but i loved the effect of shooting at night with those neon lights all around us.
These two are getting married tomorrow, and I’m hoping they’ll get a little bit of sunshine, as after this engagement shoot in the rain they most definitely deserve it!
