It was 2016 when Lauren first enquired with me about her wedding, we’d met previously whilst exhibiting at a wedding fair at wivenhoe House as she is also a wedding photographer (pressure?!). Since then her wedding plans have grown and grown as she and Daniel planned their DIY wedding in their home village of Bradfield in Essex.
This was a wedding that certainly wasn’t short of incredible handmade touches. Daniel used his plumber skills to create some gorgeous copper stands for the floral displays and table plan. Lauren, her mum and Sister (who run Our Pretty Wedding together) created the stationery, styled the tables (check out those velvet table cloths!) and created the floral arrangements, button holes and bouquets all from their own flowers grown on their allotment. Lauren even made the flowergirls dresses after the ones she wanted to buy went out of stock!
With a pub theme (they met in the Village Maid in Bradfield) each table was named after a pub they’ve frequented throughout their relationship, and the booze theme continued with a stylish gin bar too!
Of course, we’re also in the midst of a heatwave here in the UK, so the sun definitely shone on the righteous on this day! Here’s a few of my favourites…
