Fran and Oli’s wedding day took place on the hottest reordered day ever in the UK, with the temperature reaching 39 degrees (but feeling more like 41 with the humidity!). It was safe to say, they couldn’t have asked for anything better!
Arriving at Fran’s parents house I found her and her sister Georgie about to open a present from Oli. A beautiful photo album of all the adventures they’d got up to in their time together, with room left to fill in for the future. That really set the tone of the day, and showed exactly how much Oli loves Fran. She couldn’t wait to get to church and see him.
Their big day took place in their local church in Danbury, with many friends involved to not only marry them, pray for them, but to also perform the songs and hymns throughout – these two know a talented bunch of people! After the service, we sneaked off for a few minutes in the blazing sun for some photos before heading back to The Rose Barn at the Warren Estate where both Fran, Oli and Fran’s father play golf.
I’m not sure if I’ve already mentioned, but it was incredibly hot… guests took refuge in the shade, beside fans and by keeping very hydrated! I searched for the shade for any portraits needed and decided the postpone couple photos until later in the evening to give them both some time to cool down and mingle with their guests.
Later on we were treated to a beautiful golden light before storms set in just after the first dance – much to the guests relief – many of which stood outside in the rain!
Despite the heat (not something I’d ever thought I’d moan about on a wedding day!!) these two still had an incredible day surrounded by those they love the most.
