I met up with Emma and Will in the evening yesterday for their engagement shoot at Sudbury Water Meadows. The sun was low in the sky and we were treated to the loveliest golden summer light for our shoot together.
Living in Sudbury, the Water Meadows is in walking distance to their home and a place Will is very familiar with from his school days! So when they suggested it they were worried it wouldn’t be the most scenic of places. This is always how I find people feel about choosing locations that are so familiar to them, it can be hard to see something interesting in a place you visit so often. But I think it was the perfect choice, we had so much scope using the river as a backdrop, and the sunlight provided so many pockets of gorgeous light for us to use as well.
These two are getting married in November, so it was great that we had this perfect summer evening to get some photos for them, which will be a big contrast to their wintery wedding later in the year.
