A Summer Wedding At Bruisyard Hall
When Emma and Sam first enquired with me for their photography they had only just got engaged. Little did they realise that between then and the big day life was about to get very hectic… You see, they also decided to build a house in the same year that they were planning a wedding!
Holding the celebration at Bruisyard Barn, allowed their families to join them and stay over at the hall. When I arrived, everyone was eating breakfast in the dining room, at a huge table whilst the girls were getting ready upstairs. What I loved immediately about the space was that everyone was together, and you could feel the excitement in the air for their wedding. Emma and Sam had use of the hall from the Thursday before until the Monday after the wedding, which meant everyone stayed over to enjoy a BBQ (or BBZ… in Sam’s terms!) the next day.
Now… we all know how much I adore dogs, and so I was very happy to hear that their pup Murphy and his brother Harley would also be invited on the day. They donned polka dot collars (to match the grooms party) and basically stole the show all afternoon!
In reference to their house building adventure, a few of Emma and Sam’s friends had arranged for a digger to arrive after the meal as a surprise, seeing as they have spent almost everyday on a building site, driving diggers, in overalls and wellies, they didn’t want this day to pass without a little familiarity! It certainly made for some fun photos (I even got to take a ride!) and guests joined in the fun afterwards too!
Below are a few of my favourites from their big day…
Here’s what Sally and I got up to behind the scenes on Snapchat…
