On Friday morning Emily and I met Chailey and her bridesmaids being beautified at JC Beauty in Thetford. The room was full of excitement, and even as Chailey had her hair and make-up finished off she still didn’t believe that the day was actually real. She didn’t feel nervous, just very excited and meeting her and the girls there we were immediately made to feel like old friends and fitted in right away.
When the time finally did come, and the dress was on Chailey and Sam go married in a beautiful Church in Timworth. Sam looked very handsome in his suit, keeping away from tradition which suited them both to a tee. And Chailey’s tea length dress was so stunning (and very similar to the dress her nan wore on her wedding day!) In fact their whole day was full of really individual touches that made their wedding completely them. The ceremony was full of giggles as no one seemed to realise how long the hymn ‘all things bright and beautiful’ really was! But the laughter certainly made for fun photos!
The weather forecast for the day was heavy rain all day long, but we were lucky with overcast skies and light showers, and Chailey was an absolute trooper when she announced she wanted group shots outside, in the rain! Luckily we were sheltered by trees, and it didn’t last too long!
Later in the evening I pulled them outside again, to take a more magical shot under a huge tree. And just as they stood in place, the rain began to fall again, except this time it was really welcome because it really did just make this shot even more beautiful!
And, just because this was my last wedding of 2014, I’m going to treat them to two sneak peeks!
Thanks so much to both families for making us feel so welcome and the staff at the Elveden Inn for looking after us so well too!
