Yesterday was my nephews first birthday! So I took the day off to spend with him and my brother and sister-in-law to take some updated family photos. We started the day with a family shoot in a nearby field, where Charlie showed off his walking abilities and tower building talents. He also was far more interested in his balloon than any other birthday presents he received, and you can see his joy about that in the pictures below!
After the shoot, and a little walk, we headed home, had a change of clothes and set up a cake for Charlie to ‘smash’ into. Needless to say, he didn’t understand this concept and it took a while before he got fully stuck in. In the end, he was covered in mess, and we couldn’t help but be reminded of Augustus Gloop from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory fame!
By the end we had one messy child, a ravenous dog and some fun messy cake smash photos!
