I’ve always been lucky to never really encounter any “stressy” couples and the same can definitely be said for Sarah and Brett. In fact, Sarah gets bonus points for being the most chilled out bride I have ever met!
Thats because even in the face of her zipper breaking on her dress just as she was putting it on, she didn’t panic at all. (We all did!!) After a quick google by her sister Amy and a solution found online that involved cutting the teeth of the zip. Sarah’s mum sewed up the end of the zipper and she was back in the dress, zipped up and ready to go within fifteen minutes. Phew!
Meanwhile Brett was setting up their day at Priory Hall, where guests tucked into the pick and mix as they arrived, had a scavenger hunt to solve and Mario Cart to play as the evening went on. It was safe to say there was plenty to entertain everyone here. Not just the adults!
This wedding day was unlike no other as the two of them incorporated not only Sarah’s English background but Brett’s South African heritage as well. Throughout the day little nods to both countries were seen with the statues on their sweetheart table (a rhino and a stag) and in their flower choices of roses and protea as well.
Later, Sarah once again bucked tradition by joining in with a speech and the meal was finished off with a competitive quiz before guests made their way back over to the hall to dance the night away.
