A Springtime Wedding at Woodhall Manor
As I turned up for the wedding of Carrie-Anne and John’s big day and headed to the little secret room that Woodhall Manor reserves for its bride-to-be to get ready in, there was no mistaking that I was in the right place. I could hear shrieks of delight as I headed down the hallway and instantly knew that it was the sounds of their daughters Halle and Ella, who rightly so were very excited that their mum and dad were getting married today!
The tiny room held so much excitement that it was hard to not get swept up in it. Plus walking into a room with suppliers that I already know is such a blessing. It feels like hanging out with friends whilst also being a part of a really fun day. Carrie-Anne was being pampered as I arrived, champagne had been popped and the girls accompanied by their two cousins were very excited about their hairstyles, make-up and of course the beautiful dresses they also had to wear.
Over near the ceremony room John and his groomsmen made the final touches to the seating arrangements, as Jades Flowers installed the most incredible blossom tree flower arch where they would soon say their nuptials. And when that time finally came John struggled to hold back tears (just a ‘chin wobble’ – he insisted!) as his two daughters headed down the aisle followed by Carrie-Anne, looking stunning beaming back at him.
It took them 15 years to make it to this point, but it was a perfect day and I’m sure worth the wait too!
Here are a few of my favourites from their big day…
