A Beautiful Summer Wedding at The Great Lodge
On Saturday Emma and Lee’s wedding day finally arrived. When they booked their wedding The Great Lodge was still a building site, and so they put a lot of faith into the fact that it would be ready on their big day. What ensued was one of the most breathtaking new venues I’ve seen in a while. The Great Lodge has endless opportunities for photos from Vineyards, manicured gardens, a lake, wild flower fields and of course Alpacas! It’s basically a photographers dream.
Emma and Lee had also added lots of personal touches themselves, spending a full day at the barn the day before hanging bunting and arranging flowers on the tables, and the effort was so very worth it!
Their day begun at St Peter’s and St Paul’s Church, Emma was escorted in by her dad and Lee’s bestman was also Emma’s brother. He managed to provide some light relief when in delivering the rings to the vicar he placed Emma’s engagement ring down instead of her wedding band! There was a moment of sweat as he searched for the other, but luckily it was to hand.
After a very competitive bouquet toss outside church, guests then headed back to The Great Lodge and had a chance to explore the expansive grounds (the kids were even treated to feeding the alpaca’s!)
Below are a few of my favourites from their big day…
