Stefanie + Sam – Married! (Dove Barn Wedding Sneak Peek)

Yesterday was a day that totally suited Stefanie and Sam to a tee. They had planned the most relaxed wedding, which ultimately revolved around just one thing, being with their closest friends and family. Their day started at Dove Barn, where they chose to hold their ceremony. Stefanie completely overtaken by emotion could only utter her vows in a whisper as Sam looked on admirably. But they made it through, and headed back down the aisle with the biggest smiles on both of their faces.

The weather decided to throw a bit of everything at us yesterday! And so their families braved the rain under big umbrellas for group photographs. Luckily, by the time we had finished those, the sun shone brightly ready for Stefanie and Sam to make their exit through a long line of their guests each gleefully throwing confetti over the newly-weds. I then whisked Stefanie and Sam away around the grounds (and through a rather precarious muddy patch!) for their couple photographs.

After we finished their photos we headed down the road to the village of Lindsey for their wedding reception which took place in the cutest little village hall you could ever see, inside the hall was decorated with flowers, collected jam jars, candles and bunting of hessian and lace. They both have lots of children in their families and so there was also some hand-drawn bunting too, and plenty of activities to keep the little ones amused. Outside, hay bales were placed as seating, and watering cans and milk churns were again adorned with flowers. The fun did not stop there though as the children made full use of the lawn games, everything from twister, croquet, giant connect 4, hula-hoops and of course space hoppers! By the end of the evening the hay bales had even been made into a cat-walk for the kids (and lets be honest… the adults!) to strut down and strike a pose!

Food was kept really simple, with a barbeque for guests to enjoy and a selection of homemade cakes by desser made mostly by Stefanie and her new mother-in-law. Sam’s speech was really lovely, and included a serenade by guitar to Stef of John Lennons ‘Love’.

It’s clear to say, their wedding day wasn’t conventional, but it was the unconventional aspect of it which made it totally perfect, and a true reflection of all that they are.

Here is their sneak peek to tide them over for just a little while…
