On Thursday evening I sent a panicked text message to Laura about their imminent engagement shoot which was scheduled to happen on Friday morning. The weather was looking a bit dodgy and it seemed the rain would have arrived mid-way through our shoot. So we rescheduled, and decided the best way around it was to meet bright and early at 8.30am instead.
When I arrived it was a little cloudy and the sun was trying to peek around the clouds so we began at their home, in their really lovely garden which has a rooftop terrace feel. In fact I always gush over their house when I see them as they have the most beautiful victorian mid-terrace!
We then carried on our shoot with a stroll through Christchurch Park, with it being so early it was nice and quiet, so we avoided any audiences! At points we even had full on sunshine streaming through the trees. I did some rock-climbing to get some beautiful shots on a bridge over a stream too! I’ll do anything for the shot!
It was hard settling on one photo from this session, but this one just pipped it for me as I adore how happy and smiley they both are, and how we managed to capture a few rays of the sunshine before the rain set in for the rest of the day!
