Pulling their wedding together in just four weeks, on Monday Marcia and Jon tied the knot at Colchester Town Hall with a afternoon reception at Tymperleys. They only got in touch a week prior to book with me, making this my fastest wedding from booking to photographing to date!
The short notice hadn’t phased them at all though, Marcia found her dress off the peg and with Jon’s sister getting married earlier this year too – they decided to re-wear their bridesmaids dresses which worked perfectly with the time of year in that gorgeous orange colour. Stars of the show besides from the newly-weds though were definitely their nephews! They looked adorable in their little suits and were very happy to have the day off from school/pre school too!
Marcia’s family in Brazil were watching live via facetime during the ceremony – we could hear squeals of delight from the phone throughout! Afterwards we headed outside for confetti, and although this was a small wedding – the confetti cannons certainly made up for it! I’ve never heard cannons that loud before!! Tymperley’s was just a short walk away, meandering through shoppers shouting congratulations on route.
I joined Marica and Jon for two hours. Covering the ceremony, group photos and couple photos and of course everything in-between of this small intimate wedding. Here’s some highlights to tide them over until their full gallery is ready…
