The Month That was March

Here we are again at the start of a brand new month! April has always been a month that gets me excited for the year ahead as it starts to brighten up and weddings become more frequent. Walking Tagg recently I’ve been noticing the blossom on the trees and gardens and hedgerows brimming with daffodils, this can only mean one thing… spring is on its way! And I for one am most definitely ready to leave behind all that cold weather in place of some sunshine!

Before we get too excited for whats ahead though, lets take a look back at March – the month that was and all that appeared over on the blog…

We kicked off March with another instalment to the Wedding Planning Blog Posts designed to help you to plan your wedding day in a way that will produce incredible wedding photos. This month we took a look at the three things you need to organise before the big day and I offered some advice on what to look for in your getting ready venue for the best pictures.

As wedding season started to creep up on me we took a look back at Danielle and Leslie’s engagement shoot from last Summer. And then swooned over their fun loving laughter filled wedding day sneak peek (and Dani’s Jenny Packham dress!) from their wedding at Crabbs Barn.

Ahead of Dani and Les’ big day we took a look back to Kirsty and Josh’s wedding day at Crabb’s Barn last summer. Their wedding had the most bizarre weather from thunder and lightening, rain and bright hot sunshine! However, that huge smile never left Kirsty’s face not even for a second!

March also got me reflecting on how much work you brides and grooms give yourselves when planning your wedding. I love seeing the little handmade DIY touches my couples bring to their wedding days and feel these bits and pieces are so important and should be captured for you to remember in years to come. Because of this I popped a post dedicated to the little things on the blog this month to give you some decor inspiration for your own wedding day.

We also realised no one could resist cooing over cute flowergirls and so wanted to give you all some flower girl and and dress inspiration from this post full of the little ladies I had the pleasure of photographing over the past few years.

Back to looking at other peoples weddings for full on inspiration I posted all about Joanne and Greg’s incredible wedding day at the Norfolk Mead Hotel last summer. Their English Country Garden theme looked gorgeous, featured a yummy naked cake, plenty of lawn games and a bicycle made for two! Make sure you click below and take a look at this one, if only to warm yourselves up!

As always, as much as I love looking forward to weddings, hearing a sweet story from a Wedding Past always warms my heart. This month one of my future brides Kay, sent over the story of her Grandparents Emma and Leonard. And this photo is the only shot their have of their wedding. You brides and groom are very lucky these days getting sooo many photos to remember your day by! But I still loved this photo.

Towards the end of the month I teased you all with sneak peeks again. Firstly with Cassie and Jeremy’s sneak peek from their fun shoot on a freezing cold day along the river in Dedham…

And then with Charlotte and Phil’s fun sneak peek from their incredible Disney themed wedding!

We’re now living out in the countryside in Manningtree. Tagg is loving his daily walks over the fields or beside the river and more than anything adores his new big garden! I also had a busy month over at Styled, shooting stationey, bespoke illustrations and taking part in a fun twitter chat especially for Folksy. PHEW!! I think I need a lie down!
