To get the most from your photo session and tap into my classic bright style I advise dressing your baby in white. This can be as simple as a vest or you can bring along beautiful summer dresses, shorts, shirts or t-shirts.
Outfits in muted tones such as grey, beige, cream etc can also work well. I do have a range of vests on hand that you are welcome to borrow if you don't have them.
I have a selection of nappy wraps to cover disposables if you'd like baby in just their nappy. Or if you're a cloth user please feel free to bring along your favourite print!
The photo session is an hour long so I would advise no more than 2 or 3.
If you are having a cake smash session please bring a vest/outfit you don't mind getting dirty or staining! And another outfit to change baby into before you leave.
Some parents also love a few photos of a bare baby bum too! So let me know and we can do that between changes if you'd like.
If you have twins/triplets or babies very close in ages they can all come along for your photo session.
Older siblings can be accommodated for a few photos with their baby brother of sister at the start of the session but the majority of the shoot will be focussed on baby.
Older siblings are fab at getting smiles, helping with props and joining in the fun though so they are welcome to come along to the little garden studio.
With all your best intentions they sometimes baby just isn't in the mood!
If on the day of your shoot baby is poorly, please do get in touch to reschedule. Especially at the moment with covid-19 restrictions its important that baby and you are in tip top health.
Rescheduling is free of charge twice but after that a full session fee would need to be paid again. Please give as much notice as possible so I can fill your slot!
Of course!
Due to covid-19 restrictions at the moment I can only have one adult attend with their child as there isn't enough room in the little garden studio for 3 adults to socially distance.
But one parent can always step in/out if you'd like to both be involved for a few photos.
Clothing wise, pop on a white top/t-shirt/shirt and I'll be sure to get you in the frame with your baby!
Its lovely to capture photos of the things that mean the most to your baby so If baby has a particular favourite toy you'd like to be captured then of course please do bring it along with you.
I have a big selection of wooden toys for them to play with as well along with a bubble machine which usually spark great reactions!
I can provide the cake if you'd like. If so I tend to purchase a lemon drizzle made by OGGS which is vegan and therefore fine for babies who may have dairy or egg allergies.
It's also a plain simple cake which can be added to with sprinkles and a cake topper faily easily.
You're welcome to bring your own cake but please do not spend too much money/time on it as it will get ruined!
My only other caveats are that the cake must not be chocolate or contain jam or coloured icing as this will stain my flooring.
If you love the idea of a cake smash but not a fan of the mess they create I have a beautiful wooden cake which we can use instead.
It will be presented on a cake stand, with the appropriate numbered topper and your baby can pull it apart and play with it as he/she wishes.
Its a great way to mark a birthday without making a mess or especially good if you're not into the idea your of baby having sugar quite yet!
Yes, if you don't mind it getting messy of course!
I can always photograph baby in their special outfit before the cake if you'd prefer.
I also have a selection of crowns and hats for you to choose from too which can make great additions to cake smashes, even if they only keep them on for a short amount of time!
I'll have lots of cloths and soapy water available for you to clean up your little after a cake smash. Wet wipes wont cut it!
Make sure you bring something for your child to wear on the way home.
As for the mess in the studio, don't worry! I'll clean that up after you are gone. :)
If you're happy for photos to be shared online (Facebook or Instagram) you'll get a preview on social media the day after your photo shoot.
If not your photos will be ready usually within 10 days and uploaded into your online gallery where you can see, download and purchase products of your photos from.
Your gallery, and the chance to buy products will be open for 7 days.
Be sure to download your photos before this as they may be deleted if not. I do offer an online storage option if you'd like me to keep them backed up for you, or have more time to view them.
USB's are available for £25 if you'd like them.
I stopped including USB's after finding most clients are happy to get their gallery and be able to download and use their images immediately rather than having to wait in for the postman!
Absolutely! All can be ordered directly from your online gallery by clicking on the 'shop' tab.
Products will be mocked up in the shop for you to see how your images would look. If you're after something not listed just let me know.
