Erline and Karl got married last weekend at The Reid Rooms in Essex which they used as the perfect backdrop to their small but detail oriented big day. Erline had tackled a lot of the projects herself including making her own wedding dress, which she managed to keep hidden from Karl for 18 months as she worked away on it.
The little details were so important to them that they enlisted the help of so many of their friends and family. Some helped to make the the felt and crochet flowers, others made bunting or brought homemade cakes. They even had a friend design and make their wedding rings too.
To add to the laid back and relaxed feel of the day guests were served wood fired pizza from a fire-engine turned pizza van in the courtyard at the Reid Rooms, and they had plenty of time to mingle and chat all day long.
Later, Karl may have regretted choosing his brother Tom as best man during the speeches as embarrassing photos from his childhood were passed around, but it was still heartfelt. We left them partying the night away on the dance floor as the warm evening drew in.
