Haynes DIY Wedding Manual Giveaway!

I was so excited to receive a copy of Laura Strutt’s ‘DIY Wedding Manual’ through the post. Not only because its full of crafty goodness, but because Laura was one of my 2012 brides, and she has kindly featured some of my photographs throughout from her wedding day. It’s amazing seeing your work in actual print (and knowing it’s on bookshelves!).

Laura and John’s wedding was a DIY extravaganza! She made the bunting, buttonholes, her veil, all the favours, centre pieces. Even the order of services, card box and thank you gifts! So if anyone is qualified to write a book on the subject, it’s most definitely Mrs Strutt! In fact, following on from her wedding she now runs an incredibly successful blog called ‘Made Peachy’ which features even more creative projects.

Inside the Haynes DIY Wedding Manual Laura shares her wedding planning tips from creating a budget to picking a venue. Writing speeches and setting a theme and also choosing a photographer. She also shares loads of DIY projects for you to really get creative with along the way. Among favourite DIY’s are her birdcage veil tutorial and really simple paper doily bunting project. These are DIY’s I know I could manage, and in doing so would add some great decorative embellishments to your big day!

To celebrate my first appearance in a real life book, I have decided to give away two copies of this hard-back book in my first ever instagram competition. So if you’re getting crafty for your wedding day and could use lots of inspiration, and tutorials to give you a helping hand this is the competition for you!

To be in with a chance of winning, Laura and I want to see your best wedding DIY’s. So whether you’re creating your own bunting, invitations, card boxes or flower arrangements we want to see! Just snap a picture on instagram and upload it with the hashtag #KMPDIY and a brief description of your project.
