for COUPLES

With my big love for the Essex and Suffolk countryside you'll mostly find me here photographing some beautiful weddings.

I'm a huge fan of DIY weddings having had one myself, so when I see a tipi or marquee in a field I can't wait to see whats inside. Likewise, Essex and Suffolk have some jaw dropping venues and I'm so lucky to have great links with many of them too.

My favourite weddings are the chilled out, laid back affairs. No one wants to be a stressed on their big day, so I work hard to be super organised for you.

Mostly I'm here to make sure you are put at ease in front of the camera for wedding photos you'll adore for many years to come.

An Engagement Shoot

gets you comfortable in front of the camera, and gives you a chance to see how I'll work on the big day.

the PHOTOGRAPHY experience

We live in England afterall!
I always carry white umbrellas, so we can go outside, whatever the weather!

family groups

Planned well in advance to ensure we have plenty of time for them, and can wizz through them efficiently

a trusted 2nd photographer

Included in full day packages, or available to add onto mid-week packages. My second shooters are all aspiring wedding photographers themselves.
(This is Gemma!)

a friend with a fancy camera

I'll blend into your wedding day, as if I were just a guest with a nice camera. I pride myself on the relationships I build with my couples, and most guests never even noticed I was there!

your images on usb

All of your wedding and images will be delivered on a USB in a fancy presentation box. (along with some surprise goodies I can't mention here!)

Brides will be added into my dedicated Facebook group to stay in touch in the lead up to your wedding day. It's a chance to meet all the other #kerriem brides too and get involved in meet-ups!

got questions?

Do you include an engagement shoot?

My full day packages all include an engagement shoot, because I believe they are SO important.

It's not only a chance for us to get to know each other better, but also gets you comfortable in front of the camera.

If you book a mid-week package you can always add an engagement shoot on.

how long have you been a wedding photographer?

2017 is my 7th year of photographing weddings, and in 2016 I hit my 100 wedding milestone!

Before wedding photography I worked as a school photographer and before that I was a photographer on board cruise ships.

Basically, I've had a camera in my hand since I left college, and I don't know what I'd do without it!

how do we book you?

just drop me an email via my contact form. All that is required at the booking stage is a £250 'save the date' fee.

This will ensure I keep your date safe, and that I will be there to photograph the big day.

The remaining balance of your wedding package will then be due on the 1st of the month prior to your wedding day. Or you can pay in instalments to spread the cost.

how many photos will we receive?

I always tell my couples it will be 4 weeks from their wedding day until their photos are ready.

I always post a selection of images from your wedding on my blog 2-3 days after the wedding to tide you over in the meantime though.

how long does it take to receive our images?

If you book a full day wedding package you can expect to receive around 500 photos from your day. The can of course vary depending on the amount of guests and the type of day you have planned.

Shorter coverage weddings will return around 300 photos, again the size of your guest list and type of wedding could mean this may differ slightly.

do we need to feed you?

A meal for myself and my assistant (if in attendance) is always appreciated.

Weddings are very long days and I don't often get to eat until the wedding breakfast. If food isn't provided I will bring sandwiches, but it is difficult to keep food fresh in a hot car all day.

As long as I know your preference beforehand thats fab.

will we own the copyright to our photos?

Copyright of your images will always belong to me as the creator of your photographs (much in the same way Van Gogh is the original artist of his artwork)

However, you will receive printing rights which will allow you to have your photos printed or created into products for you to enjoy for years to come.

can we get the raw files and edit them ourselves?

No. Mainly because editing your images is the biggest part of the job I'll do for you, and I have worked hard to perfect my process and create a style which I hope you have fallen in love with.

Therefore I only provide my clients with fully edited images and do not allow any extra editing by outside influences after delivery.

still got questions?

Feel free to drop me an email and ask away! No question is silly, and I'm happy to answer anything.

No, and it's very rare that you'll meet a professional photographer who will allow you to do this.
